I Started playing just after Simmo with the Sussex Sabres (Sussex Wheelchair Basketball Club). It was all his fault he took me away from GB swimming!
I think I did about a 10 yr sentence with S.W.B.C. before parol when I joined LGS JETS(1st div top 4)and was a starting 5. I spent about 4 yrs, I think, with them till they folded during which time I played in the Euro cup and Andre Vergauwen in such places such as Italy.
I also appered on THE BIG 8 Basketall ON CHANNEL 4 TV for three years running before joining Force(1st div) for about 5yrs. Again I played in Andre Vergauwen and did tours with them to France, Italy & Poland before moving on to Storm(1st div). I Played 3yrs with Storm and toured France and Spain.
While I was with Storm I took my coaching qualification, until Tigers (who were then Sonics)asked me to come and be their player/coach which I have now been for about 4/5yrs.
Since joining Tigers we have gone from winning the 3rd div to gaining promotion into 2nd also getting to the playoffs for the 1st div & finals of league cup.
My playing position is that of forward also play point because of my height!
Fav memory is when I first scored for Sabres and got the bug that is Basketball!!!!
Am most proud that in my time with Tigers we have gone from having 1 team to now having a 2nd div
and 3rd div and now a womans team and also members of that team are in GB squad.
