In 1984 I was forced to play Wheelchair Basketball by my evil parents..
Upon leaving hospital my parents realised I needed to continue with an active lifestyle, they found two local disabled sports clubs. Archery and Basketball, and Dam, they made the wrong choice.
At 14 years old I joined the original Sussex Sabres based in Worthing. I quickly became involved and enjoyed playing in the first team for many years.
After 11 years playing for Sussex and 6 months for LGS Jets I retired at the old age of 26. Then sense returned in 2005 and I rejoined Sussex now called Tigers. Of which now I regret, as I¹m now re-addicted to this game.
I enjoyed my first season back and I¹m enthused by my teams mates want for success, and believe this club will strengthen over the next few years and achieve more success.
